I try to see the positive in everything, and yes, there are "some" good, faith building, and "metaphorical" concepts on cable television. And yes, they could be used to reach a certain "crowd". But the idea that television is "evil" is partly because of the culture and change we have seen in the last two decades....not centuries. At some point and time, the loss of morals impacted parents, then on to our children, then onto the up and coming media moguls of the world/ America. In other words, we try to "do better" for our children, sometimes in not too intelligent of ways, our children reap "low self esteem", isolation, "idealized views of what they are supposed to be and act and look", and the fostering of non-biblically based views that are "ok" to the general viewing audience, through thier ignorance of what the Bible speaks of as "sin". So now we are in present day, with all sorts of "its ok if it feels good do it, as long as you dont hurt anyone else" attitudes. Morals of our generation have changed. That is why we "blame" television. Just my thoughts on the subject.
