Transform the way you do worship with Digital Storytellers!
“Few authors have foreseen the future of language. Len Wilson and Jason Moore, in Digital Storytellers, capture not only the prophetic union of technology and worship, but also the first glimpse of a new way of thinking… a new way of communicating.”
- Thomas Hodstadt, Fulbirght scholar
This is an essential guide to experiencing God through worship in our digital age. It covers the art of designing and producing worship services from a creative point of view, with extensive discussion on metaphor, story and integrating them into every aspect of worship. A combination of underlying theory and theology behind worship. Used by many churches as an essential media ministry teaching and training tool, and by many (at last count 12) seminaries as required reading, this resource will boost your creativity and jump-start your understanding of what innovative worship for our age is all about.
The included DVD contains illustration clips from the book, as well as a number of behind the scenes short videos on making clips.
Here’s the scoop: When the book was first published, Abingdon Press set up a website with links for resources and some training re: image production. Most of it was from our previous ministry, Lumicon, which is mentioned in the book. At the time of publication, we had just started Midnight Oil. Over time, Abingdon let the webpage become increasingly out of date, while we began to build equivalent information on our own site. Now, the link is no longer active at all, but we have much more on our own site than chapter 8 ever had at the Abingdon site. So, while the page that was originally chapter 8 no longer exists, if you explore our articles, tutorials, and more, you’re getting the spirit of chapter 8 in spades.
