How to Use This Theme

• Creation. As the Bible opens with, “In the beginning…” we read the narrative of God’s creative work in forming the world. (Genesis 1)
• Creativity. The creation story of Genesis 1 tells us about the creativity of God. An all-powerful God could have formed the world instantly, but the Bible tells us the process took time. In so doing God models the creative process. (Genesis 1)
• Incarnation. Christmas is the celebration of the Incarnation, or as John says, the Word become flesh. Jesus is the eternal Word and was God and was with God in the beginning of creation. (John 1)
• Omnipresence. No matter where we go God is present. Our Creator “knit us together” and knows our inmost being. Yet this same God loves us immeasurably. (Psalm 139)
