Len is a pioneer in communicating the gospel to digital culture. His passion is high-quality, theologically grounded, experiential media in worship that goes far beyond an "audio-visual" approach to meet people at a human level using the digital language of film, television and computers.

A frequent seminar leader, Len has spoken to thousands of church leaders since 1996 on harnessing digital media for ministry. His newest book, authored with best friend Jason Moore, is Design Matters: Creating Powerful Imagery for Worship (Abingdon Press, 2006). He has also authored Digital Storytellers: The Art of Communicating the Gospel in Worship (Abingdon, 2002) and The Wired Church: Making Media Ministry (Abingdon, 1999).

From 1995-2000 Len served as media minister of Ginghamsburg Church. During this time, Len was part of a worship design team whose efforts almost tripled attendance to over 3000 people a weekend in worship. By mixing theory and practice in a weekly "living lab," he created an effective model for media ministry, as well as the empowerment of a team of highly committed volunteers trained on technical systems he oversaw. Currently, Len consults with a variety of churches in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

In addition, Len and Jason have been featured in several articles for publications including Clergy Journal, The Ooze, Homiletics, Next Wave, Rev., Technologies for Worship, Wired, Worship Matters, Your Church, Church and Worship Technology, and various newspapers around North America. Their digital productions from Ginghamsburg and Lumicon have received several Telly Awards for excellence in video production.

Len holds a M.A. in Religious Communication, United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH 1995; a B.A. in Communication, McMurry University, Abilene, TX 1992 (summa cum laude); and did Master's course study at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA 1992-1993.

Len is proud husband to Shar and Daddy to Kaylyn (5), Christian (3) and Joslyn (1).
